E-pad Travel Laptop Desk from Brookstone Review

The e-pad travel laptop desk from Brookstone is actually made for traveling (unlike Belkin and many other similar products).  Another feature to like is the steep angle.  When buying a cushion or desk to sit in your lap, you want something at at least a 45 degree slant.  The e-pad appears to be right around that angle.  The reason for this is a straight surface won’t be ergonomically correct for your wrists and you’ll be a little jammed up at the keyboard if you’re sitting at a regular couch.  For example, the Belkin is a great cushion but if you compare it by putting your laptop on a sharper decline, you’ll notice a huge difference in the freedom your wrists have.

Colors for the e-pad come in red or blue and the bottom is lined with a soft fabric for comfort.  This laptop desk won’t fit in a laptop sleeve but you can it is sleek enough to fit in a backpack or briefcase.

The only slights are one, the e-pad from Brookstone isn’t made for the monster 17 inch laptops.  If you’re in the 15 inch or lower category, you’re good though.  Also, it has a rubberized top which doesn’t catch well on Macbooks because they have plastic stubs (as opposed to rubber).

Looks stylish and is made by Brookstone which you’ve really got to appreciate.  Brookstone is known for their quality, tech products.  In the end, the e-pad gets the job done.  Some slight imperfections but otherwise a solid value at $29.95.  4.5 stars.
