Belkin Cushtop Notebook Stand Review

The Belkin laptop cushion is one of the most well known notebook holders and for good reason – it’s a great product.  If you don’t care about the color, I recommend buying the sky blue one because these have dropped in price.  If you’re more concerned with style, go with the silver or black colors.

The Belkin CushTop is lightweight at only about 2 pounds and is large enough to hold any 17 inch laptop.  It’s also very firm but is coated with soft polyester material.  One downside to it is the slope doesn’t go downward enough.  Your wrists would be more comfortable if the angle was sharper.  Thus, if you’re into ergonomics you may want to look deeper.

You can find prices from $19 for the sky blue Belkin cushion to $34 for other colors.  The model appears to be the exact same.

There is a semi storage compartment if you want to keep your iphone under your computer while you charge it or similarly keep a battery pack tucked away. You may also want to look at the belkin notebook travel surge protector for a practical idea of what you can store inside the compartment.

The only other complaint is it really doesn’t make your laptop any cooler or allow for much breathing room.  Although the fabric won’t suffocate your laptop like say a mashable blanket would or setting it on top of a pillow, there is no open ventilation system built in to allow air to easily breathe in and out.

Overall, this is a very solid product.  Take a look at the LaptopCushions Amazon store.
